Hi, I'm Mattia
2001–2010
I was born in 2001, in the province of Padua. As a child, I spent hours observing, taking things apart, and imagining. It wasn’t enough for me to just use things—I wanted to understand how they worked. LEGO was my language, but I didn’t build simple objects. In my mind, every piece was part of a larger city, a system that took shape even before it existed. Over time, that hasn’t changed much.
2010–2015
That same mindset stayed with me as I grew up. In soccer, I was always drawn to the attack—the part where plays are created, risks are taken, and decisions are made. In simulation games, I found another space to experiment—environments where I could learn quickly, test ideas, make mistakes, and gain insights. Without realizing it, I was developing a skill that I now consider essential: the ability to step into a new system and grasp it deeply, in a short amount of time.
Then came my first camera. Before that, a smartphone and my first, almost instinctive photos. Photography was my first real way of turning a glance into something visible. I put sensitivity, composition, and attention to detail into it. That’s where I began to shape an aesthetic.
2015–2021
The decision to study photography, graphic design, and production came naturally. So did my first job at a communications agency, where I had the chance to tackle real-world projects. But at a certain point, it became clear that something was missing. It wasn’t enough for me just to create; I wanted to understand the broader context, the rules, and the dynamics behind digital systems. So I changed course—at least in part.
2021–Present
That’s why I decided to take a different path, enrolling in the Law and Technology program at the University of Padua. It may seem like a far-fetched move, but it actually makes perfect sense: it’s a way to delve deeper into what I had previously only skimmed the surface of. Today, I’m continuing on this path with a master’s degree in Marketing and Digital Transformation, where strategy, technology, and communication finally come together.
Meanwhile, his passions have remained the same. Formula 1, cars, aviation, astronomy: different worlds, but all driven by the same logic. Complex systems designed to function with precision, where every detail counts.
Today, I work as a freelancer, bringing all of this with me. In addition to skills ranging from marketing to design, I bring a way of thinking that allows me to dive into things, understand them, and then build something that holds up. In the end, it’s always been like this: starting with an idea and trying to give it shape.
